I got the lemon zest pasta and it was delicious. Honestly probably the best dish of pasta I’ve ever had.The meals aren’t overcomplicated, but just done well. And the price, for the quality of food was really good.If you’re in Bristol and … More looking for a great bowl of pasta, look no further.

Out of this world. We visited around a month ago - and I’m STILL raving about it to my friends. I had the carbonara - the best carbonara I’ve ever had. It was rich, creamy, packed with delicious flavour and crispy guanciale. Our server … More was wonderful (unfortunately I don’t remember his name, but I think he was perhaps the owner, or the manager?). The atmosphere was lovely too, everyone was having a great time in there - couples, small groups of friends. Very intimate.I 100000% will be returning. If you love Italian food (or even just GOOD food and good vibes), I would highly recommend this place.

Not bad. The flavor is a bit strong and a little too salty, but overall it’s very tasty with a great texture. Not expensive and definitely worth a try!

Definitely the best pasta in Bristol! The pomodoro and sausage ragu were delicious and the burrata was also amazing. Atmosphere and service were also incredible, couldn’t recommend more!

The pasta was delicious!! We had the cacio e Pepe & sausage ragu on the lunchtime menu with the homemade lemonade. Highly recommend, such a lovely lunch. Definitely book ahead as not many tables available.

Tasty carbonara cooked perfectly, and good price and location. Fantastic on a sunny day and a nice spot to people watch. There is limited seating and it can seem busy so try to come at a good time.

Food was amazing, had the burrata bruschetta to start z enough for two to share. Then for main I had venison Ragu which had big chunks of venison steak in it. My wife had the carbonara which was rich and creamy. Both had delicious freshly … More made pasta ribbons that soaked up the sauces according. With a soft drink each our bill was less than £50 for two. Service was also very good, only one FOH but just the right amount of attentiveness. Will be coming back to try the other items on the menu!

We had a great dinner here! Really tasty food coupled with friendly service and a warm atmosphere. We had the Sausage Ragu and the Venison Ragu (one of their specials), which were equally as delicious. Highly recommend having the tiramisu … More as well!Overall, a lovely spot to enjoy fresh pasta.

We came here for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was such a delightful experience. It was last friday and the gid who served us was super lovely, and our food came out so quickly.Everything was fresh and the sun-dried tomato bruschetta was … More to die for, would go back for that alone! Was also super affordable. The only thing to note is there is only one veggie option but was still enjoyable.

one of my absolute favourites in bristol! the £10 lunch deal (pasta + drink) is really worth it and i've been here multiple times now with different people 🙂 portion sizes are great as well.Alici —4.5/5My favourite pasta from magari … More the first time i tried it i was a bit skeptical because i thought it would be too fishy, but white wine and the lemon helps to cut through and balance it perfectly. Bright and slightly creamy, soooo good for spring/summer or whenever the sun is out!Sausage Ragu —4/5Just a really solid and safe choice! Not overcomplicated, simple and done well. Nothing to complain about.Pomodoro —4/5Same as the sausage ragu, a simple but really solid dish. No complaints! One thing I will say about all the pasta, they can sometimes be a tad too salty. But not to a point where it is unpleasant.Service is average, staff are friendly, nothing to complain about.Seating indoors is quite limited, quite cozy. But when the sun is out I do recommend sitting outside!!

we tried the ragu and alici pasta. i found the ragu too sweet, while the alici lacked a bit of flavour. overall, i also thought the pasta was slightly overcooked. however the burrata starter was tasty and the service staff were very friendly! … More

A delightful little restaurant right by the M Shed museum serving freshly made pasta, tiramisu, and Italian cocktails.I had the carbonara deal for £10, which comes with a Fentiman's Cola. It was filling but not too heavy and full of … More cheesy goodness, perfect for a cool January day.My friend got the venison ragu and very much enjoyed it's savory flavors. We were both glad we chose this place on a whim!

So glad I found this amazing little restaurant on Tik tok when searching for a post hippodrome dinner venue. These guys work extremely hard creating gorgeous food. Our bruschetta starter was delicious as was the venison ragu. We didn’t … More have room for their tiramisu! Next time.

Super tasty pasta in a cosy shop. We were lucky to be able to get a table for 2 indoors, although they do have outdoor seating. I had the pesto (special) and my partner had the carbonara, both were fantastic and fresh.

The whole experience at Magari was fantastic! The staff are so friendly and helpful, the decor is simple but charming and the food is absolutely perfect!! The portions are fairly modest but as most of the dishes are pretty rich, it works … More well! We got starters, main, dessert and drinks for 4 people for £100!! The sausage ragu pasta was the star of the show for us! Thanks Magari!

This is a small pasta place with a big reputation that is truly well earned! The indoor dining area is quite small only having a few tables and if you wish to avoid sitting outside booking is practically essential. The service was fast … More and friendly with the kitchen right next to the dining area so the smells from the food being prepared fill the air. We started with the burrata that was delicious with its creamy mozzarella and flavourful sun-dried tomatos, we highly recommend getting the extra sourdough which acts as a perfect edible delivery system for the dish. Then the pasta, actually faultless, generous portions, perfectly cooked and packed with amazing flavour! For the prices they charge, this spot is incredible quality for the money and we highly recommend checking it out!

Previously rated it 5 star but after our recent visit had to reduce it down to 2 unfortunately. On our recent visit we started by ordering specifically stating “3 of the lunch deals please” however on the bill arriving they only did 2 of … More the dishes on the deal, and when questioned she said it’s because one of the ones we chose was a special and they weren’t included and did say “in the small print on the back” had we have known we would have adjusted our order, as we said to begin with that we were doing 3 of the lunch deals, but they were happy to not mention anything until the bill came at the end. At which point nothing was done about it either. While the food is good, it was a little quiet so I can’t help but feel it was a bit of a purposeful scam to try and make more money on a quiet lunch service. Disappointed and won’t be returning anytime soon.

Ordered the carbonara, drinks, and tiramisu. While the food was lovely the portion sizes were tiny. Tiramisu was gone within 3 bites. The location is actually the inside of a crate container so is quite small, would recommend booking a … More table if you want to sit in.

Is the £10 lunch deal at Magari one of Bristol’s best? I certainly think so. Your options are:Pasta & a soft drink £10 Pasta & a glass of wine £12.50 Pasta & a tiramisu £12.50You can chose any of the house sauces (not the specials), … More and the kitchen will chose which pasta it’s served with dependent on what’s available. The pasta is made fresh each morning with the finest CackleBean Eggs and you’ll find local suppliers honoured too with the sausage meat in the ragu from Ruby & White and the coffee in the tiramisu from Odd Kin.Speaking of that tiramisu…‍I hadn’t had one in years before trying the Magari version - as someone who doesn’t like coffee I’ve never been fussed - but it was a hot day, and the only thing I fancied to drink was water so I thought I’d try the dessert deal… It was beautiful! Absolutely delicious, gave me a full on pick up and a spring in my step and I even tried calling my Italian bestie afterwards to tell her how good it wasThe deal is available weekdays at both their Bristol and Bath restaurants until 3pm, and in my opinion is one of the best value lunches around. If I’d opted for a soft drink they had my favourite - San Pellegrino orange And if the sun is shining their Wapping Wharf site has a beautiful terrace (worth noting tables can only be reserved inside though) for people watching.I went solo and staff were lovely, didn’t bat an eyelid and I was super comfortable. Highly recommend.

We visited here after a recommendation. My boys really enjoyed itthe staff were lovely, but we did have to wait a little for our food. We didn't mind that so much as they were busy, and we just entertained ourselves while we were … More waiting. The food was really tasy, I especially loved the bruschetta, the live oil was soo good

Good pasta with very good sauces. Sometime the pasta can be a little overcooked (I came here a few times) but that doesn’t ruin the overall taste and experience. Ragù and anchovies are always the best.

Great food but poor service. The pasta is really delicious and totally value for money. However the staff is quite stressed and somehow forgot which dishes go to which tables. A bit disappointed about the experience. Overall the food is … More awesome.

came for dinner this evening as I’ve been wanting to try Magari for a while now and was very impressed! Had the burrata to start and we had the sausage ragu, pesto pasta and carbonara for main. All of them were delightful, the pasta was … More al dente and you could tell it was homemade. Finished off with a tiramisu which was equally as delicious. Would defo return!

Small place but nicely decorated. Recommended to book as it gets busy. The pasta was delicious ( I tried both the ragú and the Alici). The food is cooked fresh. I very rarely leave reviews, but this little beauty of a restaurant SO deserves one.The welcome was friendly and warm, the atmosphere ‘vibrant’ and the food really delicious. We were a family of 5, two adults and three teenagers, all with … More quite varied tastes. Everyone really enjoyed the food and experience, we sampled three courses and took advantage of the lunch time specials.Everything was fresh, homemade and ‘wholesome’.In a world of fast-food and busy, it was a joy to go back to basics - basic ingredients, cooked well and served in a kind/friendly way.Top marks !!!!
